No offence, but I think that a 28 year old american cop would be able to express himself readily and effortlessly in english. When Vo first joined this website, he couldn't even structure a sentence.

Do you think that everyone is an excelling student? Cops are... actually I've seen complete idiots go through the Academy and college courses on law enforcement.

*Clears her throat* I work with police officers every day and let me tell you some of them have the worst penmanship and spelling that I've ever seen. They even get grades on their report...yes graded on reports. I can't tell you how many times they've been back in the patrol office and call me in dispatch asking how to spell a word or how to fix the computer in the back. I could tell you tons of stories....maybe later. The one that had the worst grammar is now gone...I think he's working Customs now...no lie.

There is a vast difference between expressing ones self verbally and doing the same thing in text. Add to that the difficulty of scene set up, description of both your own character's actions and the events going on around your character, understanding what others in the thread are doing in the way of interaction AND doing all the above in a legable understandable manner and you've got complications far and away beyond Table top Roleplaying let alone simple verbal interaction with people.

You gotta take into mind though, that most of the fourm (Not all of) have an average vocabulary of a high school level. And thus have some what of a harder time in chosing the right forms of speech and the right words to use to express their character's thoughts and feelings. I would like to think that I make some since when I role play, but I know I could do alot better, and perhaps be more discriptive. But we all need to work on somthing here and there right?
