Oh yeah I remember that thing about clive owen and why is the guy from layer cake a obvious no? He just doesn't look the part at all. for Casino Royale i would like to see a Brit playing bond, after all he is a British agent.... Last time someone asked for a brit to play James Bond we got Roger Moore Connery - Scottish Lazenby - Australian Moore- English Dalton - Welsh Brosnan - Irish IMO, stick with a Scottsman or an Irishman.

I think George Lazenby acted well in OHMSS, but the story of the film was poor so it brought the entire thing six feet under. Most people only say he sucked because he only did one, but that was a personal decision that should not affect the judging of his acting in the film.
I believe that the marriage was a good thing. But, the death of his wife was better. It is used in a few films later on (For Your Eyes Only, License to Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies, etc.) and made for an interesting reason as to why Bond would never settle down with anyone: he was afraid of loosing them as he did Teressa.
For Your Eyes Only - He vists the grave in the beginning only to be attacked by Blofeld...the one who murdered his wife.
License to Kill - Bond reluctantly catching the leg braclet (cant remember what they are called) and then Liter's line "He was married once...but that was a long time ago."
Tomorrow Never Dies - He loved Paris Carver when he was seeing her, but then said he would "be right back". He never came back out of fear of loosing her...which he indeed did.
