How can i bet?

Betting with the Hutts is pretty simple. All you have to do is making a thread with the title of the fight you wish to gamble on.

Heres a exemple....

Thread name: Darth Hawken Vs Darth Jetzt

Post: A dark figure walked inside a huge corridor leading to the
criminal bustle of Jooba's den. In his throne room Jooba was sitting
comfortably on his repulsor sled, watching is favorite slave girls dance before him.

"Oh mighty Jooba..."

Said the figure while kneeling before the slug-like Crime Lord.

"I wish to bet 3000 Credit on Darth Jetzt for their grand duel in the next tournament..."

After you have posted your small roleplay, Jooba will either accept or reject your bet.

How will betting work? How much money will I win if my the fighter I bid on was victorious?

The more people bid agasn't you, the more chance you have of winning big money!

Heres a exemple....

Jetzt Vs Hawken

Player1 bid's 100 Credit on Jetzt

Player2 bid's 200 Credit on Hawken

Now here the odds of winning are 50% or 2:1. So if Jetzt win's the match then Player1 will have the double of the money he bid, so in that case he would won 200 credit.

And if Hawkens win then Player2 would win 400 Credit because it is still the double of what he bid since he had 50% chance of winning and the odds were 2: 1.

Can we win more money if the match is more important? Also are they're minimal bids?

Yes of course extra credit will be added to the amount you won depending on it's importance.

Normal Match: No extra money

Normal Tournament Fight: 100 extra credit, minimal bid: 125

Quarterfinal Tournament Fight: 400 extra credit, minimal bid: 250

Semifinal Tournament Fight: 1000 Extra credit, minimal bid: 500

Finals: 5000 extra credit, minimal bid: 1000

How many people can bet in one fight?

Only 1 to 4 people are allowed to gamble on them.

how about a max bet? like nothing higher than 100.000 (to prevent anyone getting rich quick)

I agree some people will go out right stupid, loose all their money, then complain that they have no Credits. This way we can stop that from happening. They shouldn't be stupid anyway but we all know that people can be.

I think you should be allowed to bet as much as you like. Because if you lose then you lose it all and if you win you'll be tempted to play some more.

I have a question about the odds. In Invidius' example, the odds are 2:1 (I am assuming 2:1 for Jetzt). So, if I bet 100 credits on Jetzt, then I would win 200 back. But shouldn't the odds be different for Hawken? for example, in a horse race, every horse has different odds, based on the abilities (speed, endurance, etc) of that particular horse. So, shouldn't a weaker role player have higher odds? Say I duel Adena. She is a much stronger RPer than I am. So the odds of me winning are lower than hers. Her odds would be something along the lines of 1:2 (for every 200 credits you bet, you get 100 back), but mine would be something like 50:1.

So, short story long, are we actually handicapping duels or are their just flat odds per fight?

Sorry but it's too complicated and people would start arguing about who is the strongest and all....

And no, the hutts are criminal, they dont care if you loose your money and it's pretty much your fault if you do.

I dont think you should be able to, because you could perposlly loose and get rich quick
