Mithras arrives on Dantooine

Mithras came to Dantooine via hitching a ride with some traders who were headed to the planet. This is where his dream always began. Now he had to find the man who he always saw in his dream...what was his name, reminded him of a number...

[Xandan Sevan]

The figure of Sevan grazed the halls of what was the Jedi Academy on Dantooine. His old scraps of cloth covering him while he somberly moved outward to the Landing Pad.

Sevan knew his movements had to be quick for he had little time to waste. His ragged cloak drags on the dusty floor as he glided toward the small Czerka Shop stationed on the large planet.

Sevan Looked to the Twi'lek that worked there and began to speak...

Hello, Kortan. Do you have the Power cup-link I need for the Old G-Wing I've been putting back togeher?

Kortan: I wish Jedi Sevan. I'm waiting for the shipment. I hear they are suppose to come in today.

Today?...Hummm...


A large Cargo ship arrives in the landing pad. Sevan looks at the small shipas it burns downward to the ground settling nearby.


Kortan: I believe its on that ship. I can..


Sevan could only smirk and interrupts the Twi'lek's words


Don't worry, I'll get it myself.


Sevan proceeds to approach the vessel to get his part....

Mithras saw the man approaching them. He felt as if he was a thousand years old. He also seemed very familiar. The it hit Mithras, this was the Jedi, his name was Xanden Sevan, and he was the next link in the chain his life had become. He went to meet him.

Sevan?

Approached by a Young man, Sevan is perplexed that he even knows his name. Sevan was a Jedi sure. Filled with adventures and years of battling the Sith. But in recent times, Sevan was trying to hide himself from current affairs. Instead of taking time to be with the Jedi, He moved to his own matters of running a small shop.

This leaves the Question:


How do you know my name? Who are you?


The Old man asked with a quirk in his face that left him looking confused.

Mithras realized how strange this must seem to the other when it was all to familiar for him.

So it is you. My name is Mithras Vinstar. I don't think you know me, nor do I know you. I only know your name from my dreams. I have been having dreams, well they're more like visions, and they tell me of my destiny. I am supposed to meet you here. You are a Jedi Knight. A rare one at that. I believe that this means I am to become a Jedi, yet I do not know for sure because I have no training in the area. I suspect I'm a Force-adept yet I cannot determine it for sure. You are the doorway to my destiny. I need to become a Jedi.

Xandan Sevan has not heard such words in years. He had fallen away from the Jedi Order. He was no longer a Jedi Knight...No Longer a Master. However, the teachings of the Jedi and the Order are always on his mind. Always instilled within the heart of a Jedi....forever.


I doubt these..."Visions" carry the truth. For you see, The Jedi have little care for the efforts for one such as I. I was once a Great Jedi by many standards. I fought the Epic struggle...Even was a Jedi Council member. But those days seem but a glimmer in my eye. Most of the Council knows little of my actions and supports none of my causes. Perhaps...If we traveled to Coruscant together, The Council would be best used to judge your fate.


Sevan's wrapped fingers moved to his chin as his mind ran in a deep thought...

Mithras thought this over and decided at last to trust Sevan's advice. His dreams pointed to this man, perhaps he is only a step, nothing more. Whatever Sevan's role in his future, Mithras realized that going before the Jedi Council would tell him more of his destiny.

The Jedi Council would be able to decipher my visions I suppose. Would you take me to them?

[Xandan Sevan]

Sevan looks to the Young Man. His words lingering now in Sevan's mind.


I suppose then we should go to Coruscant then. I have to fix my ship first. Its not heavy repart, but its time consuming. While we are here fixing the craft, I could instruct you in some Basic Jedi Training. You can perhaps tell me more about yourself young man. I want to know your story.


Sevan now walked to the Ship recieving the part from man aboard and began to move away to his residence outside the Comfort at the Jedi Academy. He looked to the Young Man and signaled him to follow for there was much work tobe done.

Mithras ran to follow Sevan not trying to hide his eagerness of learning from a Jedi, or whatever Sevan was. A delay did not bother him especially on a planet as beautiful as Dantooine. He could not help but think ahead to meeting the Jedi Council on Coruscant. Mithras's visions were unfolding as he had foreseen.

Sevan and Mithras came upon a small hutt recently constructed by the old man to get away from the Jedi. He was tired of them for now and by spending time with his machines Sevan fought to find some serenity.

Outside the small home was a small G shaped ship. Roughly bigger than a starfighter with enough seating for a small party of three. It's hull was a light durasteel construct most obviously recycled from scaps of other hulls. On the right wing, two small lazer cannons were mounted. This seemed the ship's only weapons.

Sevan moved under the ship, which layed on its landing gear, and began to inspect it. A small tech-droid came up to Sevan handing him a hydrospanner. He began to touch-upon his patch jobs...

As Sevan worked, he noticed Mithras watching by diligently. Sevan looked to the young man while remaining for-the-most-part focused on his work. Words sprung forth from his scared lips...

So, Mithras, have you ever felt the Force reaching out to you? Well, I suppose it doesn't really matter. To begin your path as a Jedi or Force User, You must begin to reach out to the Force yourself. Both in mind, body...

Just then Sevan took a shock from his Hydospanner

Ah, Blast it. Oh, where was I...and Soul. A Jedi must learn to Focus on the Force and begin to rely on it as both friend and ally. It will become your key to a whole new world. Not just one of a material sense -as you see around you- but one of a spiritual sense as well. Now as an adept, You must begin to focus in on the Force.

I want you to sit and take up a relaxing, meditative pose. Close your eyes and begin to focus on the Force around you.


Sevan still worked hard on refining the patch-work that maked up most of the ship. Several small droids help in his duties as he watches Mithras' movements. Sevan could only hope his knowledge will help the young man before him.

Mithras sat and attempted some sort of meditation. He felt around for the Force. He wasn't sure how he did it, he only knew that the feeling was a familiar one. He had done it before several times in the past to calm himself when his feelings became too intense to handle. Several times throughout his youth he felt anger rise up within him, threatening to take over and unleash the power he had. Somehow, Mithras innately knew that unleashing the power within him without any sort of guidance was a bad idea. It felt too dark, too dangerous. He hoped that this man would help unleash his power in a safe way.

Calm yourself Mithras, Sevan thought. The Ship had some more repairs, but Sevan moved to the young man. He kneeled down to the young man who seemed to be in an strange meditative pose.


You must not dwell in the dark reaches of your mind too long. You could find yourself there for a long time. Open your eyes and slowly come out of your meditation.


The Old man watched the young man react to his soft words.


Now that you have found a connection, You have reached out. Pull in the Force around you. Concentrate on that stone...


Sevan Points to a stone at the edge of the grass


And try to move it. With the Force behind you I believe you can do it. Remember to Focus your interself as well.


Sevan could only wait his Padawan's actions...

Mithras stared at the stone a long time without really knowing what to do. Sometimes this Force stuff was a little too abstract for him. He tried anyway and subconsciously closed his eyes. He didn't realize it at first because he could still see the stone, through the Force. He felt the edges, the smooth texture and the occasional ridge. This wasn't with his hand though. This power thrilled Mithras. He hadn't used it like this before. Now he attempted to concentrate on the rock enough to lift it off the ground. This part was a little harder. He concetrated more forcefully now, he reached the very core of the rock. He could feel it quivering but it wasnt quite elevated. He gripped tighter and tighter onto the rock until something in his mind exploded. Pain ripped through his head and he opened his eyes in shock and amazement. The stone had been crushed into dust. Mithras sat there rubbing his head, not sure what to think.

Sevan watched only in amazment. He did not expect such a result. In anycase, Sevan patted the young man on the shoulder...


The first steps into the force seem to have such results. You did not do what I asked but you handled the situtation well. The only problem was the Focus of your concentration.


Sevan moves to the ship inspecting the droids flawless repart. He turns to face the Young Man.


It seems we should be off for Coruscant. Someone is to meet us there. Another young man gifted like yourself, his name is Seti. He will train with you as my second.

Mithras nodded in response to this. He couldn't wait to get to Coruscant. He didn't know Jedi Masters took on two padawan at a time but he wouldn't question Sevan. He was only glad to have the opportunity to join the Jedi.
