I believe the the first game that we actually brought that didn't come already on the cheap as computer we had was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Mega Drive 2.

I was thinking about this, and I think the frist game I ever played was Yar's REvenge fro Atari. I forgot my grandparents had an old Atari system at their house that I used to play at parties.

ENEMY ZERO... most frightning game ever made was on the SS..* YOU CANT EVEN SEE THE ENEMY! only hear them through a ear piece thing, as a whistling sound, and you had to have 5.1 surround or you'd nbever know where they were coming from

basically the story was like this:

you were some chick part of a deep space exploration mission, while in cryo sleep the ship is attacked by this alien species that is invisable, they are beings that are an energy..and very very hostile to solids...

basically you come to and find the crew utterly utterly slaughtered, I mean, it was graphic as hell

you search about and find a ear piece that picks up on energy frequinces,,, so you can here these things,,differant sounds depending on the distance, direction, and speed they are moving...

and your weapon,,which is an elecrto pulse cannon,,,however it needs to charge before fireing to hurt these things..means you need to have that weapon drawn and holding C for a good 5 seconds before they get to you

what made it worse it was a double disk,, and you never really get any major weapon uprades

The next thing we got were Gameboy's when they first came out. Our staples were Tetris, Mortal Kombat and Zelda.
