I've seen a few members here and there mention having played D&D before and I'm just curious as to who and who has not played. Considering I'm the resident D&D Geekess I feel justified in asking if only out of curiosity

I played for a while many moons ago (AD&D, not D&D. You are dating yourself just kidding!). Stopped halfway through college because I was falling behind in my schoolwork. But I am back baby! Yeah! ;D

Sorry my Geekatude failed to take into consideration that people might not know what D&D meant. It's shorthand for Dungeons and Dragons.

I have!!! I have!!! *jumps up and down.* I've never played AD&D before though. I grew up on the old D&D system with the red dragon on the cover and the red and blue books. Yes, I'm an old fart too when it comes to some things. It was my Dad's set of D&D.

Dating myself? OOooo sounds kinky!! I am the ultimate D&D Geek, there is no other that rivals my pure geekatude. I remember D&D when Elves were a class, spells went to 3rd level and dice weren't invented yet! We had laminated sheets of numbers that we had to cut up into chits to shake up in a cup then pull one out! When players today speak of my time it is in hushed whispers! I am an Elder of the Universe when it comes to D&D I was there for it all! my first extra purchase was for the book Eldritch Wizardry! Thus is my legacy. ;D

oh my! I had heard rumors whispered in hushed tones about such a time. No dice?! That sounds so...barbaric! And I thought I was a dork because I used to have the ability score charts from the players handbook memorized so when i was bored in class I could make characters and fight them against each other. Having a calculator with a random number generator helped! *Bows to Lirreka's vastly superior geekatude*

I used my D&D books in class, do you think I'd let a paltry thing like education slow down the ultimate Geekfest? ;D

excellent! At least I wasn't the only one! My teachers always got mad at me because my handwriting was so small from filling in the character sheets (I also had those memorized so I could make them up in class too). But I am highly edu-ma-cated now!

Anyone ever have that weird video one where the video gave this weird backstory? I played it with some friends (who promptly went and lost all their D&D shit those bastards).
