I guess I should clarify...I was raised a Roman Catholic. I am not practicing, though I do go to church occasionally. I like to think that there is someone/thing (my God, your God, etc) out there looking over us, but as a scientist, I have a hard time disbelieving evolution. So I am kind of torn. But to answer your question, no, I do not worship the Pope.

Also disproving evolution....well you can't (just like you can't disprove God) because...you can NOT prove Evolution (you can prove God but only to those that LISTEN and are not STUBBORN (*cough*mostpeopleonthisforum*cough*)) Charles Darwin: "You can not prove Evolution." (And he was a Christain btw. Not an atheist...)

You just have to find two separate populations of the same orginal species that have had no cross breeding in a long enough period and then compare their collective DNA. And I would be interested in how you 'prove God'

Adena though is going to be an idiot and say that disocvery was false. And the Bible predicted TVS before they were thought of.

I would have to agree with Adamis on that one. Unless you have physical evidence of "God", there is no way to prove existance. Religion is faith. It is based on belief. I don't know that it will ever be proven or disproven. But I have an easier time believing that life has adapted itself of the millennia to become what it is today. How you believe it got there is up to you.
I think that the Pope does what he feels is right. Whether or not I agree with him is irrelevent. I will act in a way that I feel is right. I try to do the "Christian" thing, but in the end, it is my choice and that is how I will continue to act. I may not be a perfect Christian, but I think I am a good person, and in the long run, I can live with that.
