Alec by far. You can't say Ewen since his character was based upon what Alec had already done. Alec worked off of the pain of losing a dear friend and padawan. He was cautious with Luke. Alot has to do with the plot and what actor played and when....but Alec had MUCH more experience acting than Ewen too. He was a star back when Grace Kelley was still acting....forgot the name of that movie they were in together.  |

I voted for Alec Guinness only because he was the one who created the role for Ewen to follow in. I agree with Sabre, it is hard to compare them because Ewen was really playing a younger Alec. It isn't like they remade the movies and Ewen was putting his own spin on Obi-wan, he was following in the groundwork that Alec laid in the original trilogy.

well you've been brainwashed by the corrupt Hollywood movie programs. You may proceded in worshipping actors who do half ass jobs yet they make them look good doing it, which is way everyone likes them. That's a little harsh. i tink he did a great acting job.People don't act EXCATLY the ssame for 40 YEARS.they act different when you get old. Kenobi was supposed to be a secretive character and McGregor failed, end of story Kenobi was supposed to be a secretive character in the Original Trilogy, not in the Prequel Trilogy. Lucas directed Ewan the way he was supposed to be directed. If people cannot get over the fact that the PT changed the OT forever, so be it. But, there is still a thing called an opinion and you have to respect someones. |
