lol we did a similar thing to a paper bag that we fileld with methonol and left it there for a second. i personaly think my teacher is crazy now but, he put a match near it and it exploded sending flying peices of burning paper out towards the students. No one was hurt, and nothing caught fire, but that was awesome. Yeah well don't get your hopes up too high since you rarely get to do that kind of stuff in real chemistry. Trust me on this, I have done 3 years of university level chemistry and other than the odd show in 1st year you don't actually do any of it. |
