for a first go it good, much better than my first ones. Try experimenting with various layers, transparency, and stuff. Personally, i prefer to have a background image of some sort of relevance to the character. Remember, trial and error is the best way to learn.

if the lettering wasn't so plain, and the edges of the water and the other picture blended in it would be an awesome sig, still great for a first try, if i had that photoshop and tried to make one it'd prolly be shite
