#3 looks good for overall site progression. It looks like people agreed with my idea of letting the thread starter establish a time progression for that thread...*pats self on back*

I don't see anything of the sort in the posts there Erebos... I was talking that after a thread is over the amount of time elapsed since the start of the thread is then applied to the characters. No one ever said anything about setting time progression for a thread.

I dont care really but number 3 looked the best to me. Keep in mind that the time progression is for OVERALL TIME and not necessarily time progression in a thread. The time progression would apply after actions in a given thread have completed. Otherwise some rp's (take my A "Old" Friend for instance) would be an event that would last an hour in real time would be weeks in terms of when it was started to when it finished. yea

ok I accidentally hit option 2 when I meant to hit #3, #3 looks to be the best because say if you were training to become a jedi knight or something, in the movies and books it would take years to learn so speeding up the time makes things a lot easier.

I like things the way they are now... all this time crap... too confusing. And, like Cel said, in some RPs it just wouldn't work.... I'd rather not be stuck in one place for 'years'. Completely agree

This is just so your character won't be 15, for example, until YOU are 50.
