k heres the deal.
my friends requested that i came up with a very simple d20 system. (Yes, i am a bit of a nerd... lol...) but anyways, the system revolves around using a 20 sided die to analyze special feats, IE, dodging blaster fire, inhuman leaps, vehicle maneurvering... ect. Its much like the original D20 system but a bit easier to understand.
heres an example of how it would be used in a D&D battle
(NERDS ROCK btw)
Gm: Ok guys, since neither of us could get a date for saturday, we get jumped by 3 two headed ogres. Location: Forest
P1: IM gonna attack.
*attacks are applied with damage system...*
Gm: Ohp sucks for you. looks like your copy of FF7 Advent children just got held back, you lose 40% armour.
P1: NOOOOOOOOOO
p2: ive gotta help, im going to see if i can jump into a tree and land on top of the ogre.
*roll 20 side die, the skill is a level 15 skill, the character is level 30, therefor you subtract 1 from 20 per 3 level above the skill... 20-5= 15, you need to roll 15 or higher to complete the feat, P2 rolls a 17, therefore he successfully jumps into a tree an on top of the ogre.*
there. thats how it works. im developing it for some of my hardcore D&D playing friends.
its alot like the original d20 system, just a bit better i think.
