Ok, in pathology today we were working on autopsy, and cataloging of bodies that are several hundred years old, and how to handel them now, MY guy was a German biologist who died in 1835,, * I named him Prune head*
now, we needed to break the jaw gently to open the mouth and get dental imprints,,, after doing so I made Prune head reinact a scene from much to do about nothing, then sing the theme song from Mr Ed

When I disceted a shark in Vertabrate Zoology, I made him (her?) chase an imaginary person around my desk while I hummed the Jaws theme. I also made my pigeon do the chicken dance...

funny story: my zoology professor played a practical joke on one of the students in our lab. He ordered a pregnant female rat for when we were doing rat dissections, and then gave that rat to this guys lab partner (she was in on the joke). So this kid thought he was dissecting a male rat and when he tried to tell the professor that his rat was pregnant, the teacher pretended to get really mad and then threw the kid out of class for being disruptive. So as this guy is protesting and getting upset and about to leave, everyone who knew about the joke started laughing. It was funny. Maybe you had to be there...

I know someone that was working on a cadaver and basically when the sheet was taken off, they yelled. "UNCLE JOHN!!" and ran out of the room crying. The professor was so shocked he didn't know what to do. Of course it was a prank, but scared the shit out of everyone.

my favorite thing working on freash bodies, more so when you know a few people with you are really squeemish,,is once you have the torso completely hollowed out, orgins, and fat, not the muscle, everything out and being weighed..well, when you are sitting there checking the inside, press the proader just under under the C7 vertibre, and you can force the whole body to sit up, adding a panicked scream to it gets alot of people uneasy,,

I did that on my first autopsy in school,, the cadaver was a drowning case, and a nast Geryish, greenish, white in colour..my partner had a nervous breakdown, and changed his major

imean there are times I don't get silly and moake the boady dance or anything, When dealing with Children Im pretty serious, the ancient ones normally had some illness,,and it was common in most places to not name your children until they were about 5 or 6 years old, because making it that far normally ment outgrowing infintile illness, though up until the last 150 years 34 out of ever 10 babies died before the age of 3...

oh, but the " freash" examples that comes in are just heartbreaking sometimes,, I rather not get into some of the cases I've seen,and mind you this is not for offical police forensic work, this is mainly bodies the mourge sends to us for students, because they are too swamped.

its not a course that is easy to take, morally only the stronger minded and matured seem to survive it. though the "freash" body thing wont be a thing I do, Im more looking at working with 800, to several hundred thousand year old remains

Hey there need to be some sick and demented but morally sound and mature people in the world to do that kind of work I am looking to go into. i.e Forensics. You need to be able to look at the product of some of the worse aspects of humanity from some of the worse people in the world and not throw up or lose your nerve. I'm not sure that I will be able to but I am hoping.
