This might be long, so I doubt anyone will read it.
In KotOR 2 I found most of the party members to be completely useless.
I only used Mandalore, Hanharr, Handmaiden, Visas and Bao-Dur. Everyone else was completely shit in my opinion. They also needed more dialogue in the game. The biggest diappointment was when Visas wouldnt talk to me. Oh, how I wanted to get in her robe. ;D
Whereas in KotOR 1, only some of the party members were useless. Those, obviously, T3 and Mission. Everybody else had a good storyline and was strong enough to be some use. Jolee didnt have a lot of strength or health, but I used him anyway because he was the funniest person in the game.
Another thing that disappointed me in K2, Canderous wasnt funny! He was the second funniest in K1, but now he just babbles on about nothing! It is like somebody drained the humour out of his brain after the Jedi Civil War.
But, as Ember said, the good part about K2, was all the aditions. I really liked the new combat visuals, they made it unstale, which made me happy. No more just one move. The amount of stuff you could upgrade/degrade amazed me. There were only a few things that were unupgradable, and that was good.
One more bad thing, the amount of unique weapons I had. At the end of the second time I played through, I had 3 of Exar Kun's light battle suit, and 2 of Freyyr's Warblade. That made me angry, but I got a lot of credits from them.
The ending leaves more to be desired. Just going off into space was shit. They could have at least went to BioWare to find out a good ending for their version of the game. It was pretty much the same both ways.
And lastly, the bosses were all pure crap the first time through. My guy was way too powerful (Consular/Watchman) for any of them to do any real harm. When Traya pulled out those three sabers, it took me about 10 seconds to kill her, and they barely did any damage to me at all. The second time through however was different. I had to run around a lot because Sentinels suck major ass. When I faced Nihilus though, he did no damage to me, because all I did was force crush him. Sion was also easy pickings.
The planets in K2 were better in my opinion. They gave you a lot of side quests and a lot of places to run to do them. The only complaint about the planets is that they didnt have two original planets to fill in for Korriban and Dantooine, but whatever, it was still good.
