Barry starting the buffness at 430, and even if he hit 500, which he would have BARELY, that doesnt qualify him to the Babes stature. Barry was a good hitter and a good fielder and a good runner. The Babe was the BEST hitter (maybe Hank was better).

The Babe was the BEST hitter (maybe Hank was better). just so you know, Bonds was hitting 40 HRs before 2000. otherwise, he wouldnt have even gotten to 430. and even if Babe is/was a better hitter (which hes not) Bonds is still a better player. he got a 40/40season (Ruth never did that) won multiple gold gloves (Ruth had a grand total of zero) and managed to hit, even by your count, over 400 HRs. keeping in mind with the fact that he was hitting at least 30 HRs a season before steroids, he would've made 500 HRs by now w/out steroids. |

Barry wouldnt have because of AGE. He would have slowed down to under 15 HRs, but the steroids kept him up. And at Ruth's time, there were no gold gloves so you cant use that. And if you want to talk about fielding, Ruth was an incredible pitcher with the sox, and had a world series record ERA for 40 years.

Ok first of all I'm from New Zealand. 'Down under' aas it is reffered OK...just type what needs to be said, I dont want Adamis comming and killing you all for being yanks. Second, Jetzt you know I don't hate all Americans, just the ones that think that USA is the be all and end all of everything and everyone on the planet! And last in NZ we play some of the games you guys mention but we really play Rugby well. Go the All Blacks!!! They can kick all your countries a$$es, except England at the last world cup, but that was only because of Sir Kicksalot!! |
