well I think it is pointless, just use a calculator that is what my mum does and she works in a bank No offence but you have to understand at least the very basics to know how to use a calculator! If you didn't know that the + sign meant add then you would be going around getting beads and counting out two groups and then counting the total. If you didn't know that if you have a set number of groups x with a set number of individuals in that group y and the total is just x times y then you would be counting out x groups of y beads and counting the total. It may be simple maths but it is still maths and it makes life a shit-load simpler!

sorry i thought it was self evident i know how to do two plus two on a calculator but d you really need to know how to work out pie for a future job So you see Maths isn't pointless is it, cause what you just describted is Maths, it may seem that it isn't cause it is so simple but it still is Maths. And as for advanced Maths, without it and people who understand it then we wouldn't have such a good knowledge of chemistry, biology, physics. No computer games (well maybe but only like old 80s arcade games), movie computer effects such as Yoda in ep 2 & 3, no advanced computers or internet, no space travel. So really Maths is probably the most important subject to human kind! Even if not everyone sees it or understands all of it.

I would be 19.
about math and games: Math was used more by the game programmers in the 80s then they do today. for the most part today they have programs that all the math was already done for them. but enought of this stupid math subject, I am not in school for a reason

I'm sorry for going on but I reaaly do hate people saying that maths isn't important just because they don't use the really complex everyday and seem to forget the simple maths that everyone does everyday!

Old enough to see ANH in the movie theater! I remember standing in line to see Empire (man I was a litttle bastard) and the line wrapped all the way around the theater! I saw Empire 7 times at the movies.
