Scotland is the richest nation in the british isles, we have all the oil, we have the biggest potential for renewable energy - wind and wave power.

a record number of young scots are seeking independance, and support is rising for the SNP.

Westminster is scared shitless, by the prospect of Scotland becoming indepedant. and so they should be.

I am not saying that they can't survive on there own, I am saying that they rely on the rest of britain ALOT, there first 6 months of independance if they get it will either sink them or they will prosper

i think you'll find its the other way about, the UK relie heavily on the the scottish fuel and taxes.

if finland, norway, Ireland and other small countries can support themselves with far less natural resources then scotland will prosper far beyond them.

Westminster are afraid that when scotland become independant, after a number of years we could replace england as the dominant country in Britain.

yeah but if you leave britain you will have to build an economy from the very top, I really hope that what is best for scotland comes to pass I have nothing against them but they will not become the dominant britsh power

we already have a strong economy, its only that westminster seeks to undermine it constantly in order to hold nationalism in check.

but remember, scotland has been part of britain for god knows how long. so when we split its divorce baby - we scots wont walk away with nothing.

Scots are treated as 2nd class citizens of britain, a good example is westminster are trying to scrap the Scottish Infantry Regiments - Why not scrap some engish ones aswell? the answer is favouritism. England comes before Scotland..... well not for much longer.

A poll showing the 68% of new voters (those turning 18)
are in favour of Independance. wheter they turnout to vote is another matter.

The SNP are the third largest party in scotland, and that is set to be improved upon. Since Alex Salmond came back as leader, support has surged for the party.

I doubt anything about scottish inderpendance willl happen in this election but maybe the next who knows

Alex Salmond himself said he does not want to be Prime Minister of Britian, he wants to the PM of scotland.

the SNP seek only to gain ground on labour in this election. it will be the 2007 Scottish Election when the bid for Independance will be made.

I'm content to wait till then.
