Coronation Ball (invitation only)

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*Kyra steps out of her ship onto the cobbled roads of Iziz and looks around. She takes a deep breath and raises her head looking at the city proudly. Today she officially becomes the Queen of the people of Onderon. The captain of her guard, Arias Sargin greets her at the port and escorts her to the palace.*

*Inside the palace is busy bustling around getting the flower arrangements in place and decorations ready. The maids are busy cleaning and polishing. They all stop their work to bow at Kyra as she passes. She feels uneasy under all this attention and nervously looks around. She is escorted to her room where she finally finds some quiet.*

*She walks to the balcony of the room and looks out. The breeze is blowing gently and she closes her eyes letting her mind be taken away for a moment.*

"Today is the day. No backing out now." *She sighs*

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She hears a knock on the door and turns around walking back inside.*

"Yes? Come in."

*The seamstress and two of her helpers bring in the gown for the night's affairs. They bow before her and the seamstress steps forward with a smile on her face.*

"We hope you like it, Your Majesty."

*The woman flicks her hand and the ladies pull the dress out of it's protective sleeve. Kyra gasps in delight and tears fill her eyes. It is of baby blue and ivory silk trimmed with freshwater pearls at the bodice. Tears fill Kyra's eyes and she looks at the woman nodding her head.*

"It is beautiful. Thank you. Thank you all."

*They bow again and hand the dress up.*

*The seamstress turns back to Kyra. Holding up a lace covering for her hair. She hands it to Kyra.*

"This was your mothers. She wore it on her own coronation, Your Majesty. I believe she would be honored if you wore it."

*Kyra brushes the tears away and hugs the lady.* "Thank you so much. It means alot."

*The woman looks shocked but smiles and pats Kyra's back.*

"If you need anything dear, we are here for you."

*She leaves and Kyra turns back to the dress looking at it.*

*She walks around her room feeling as if the world is closing in. She wishes one of her friends were here to calm her.*

*She walks back out on the balcony looking at the people below.*

OOC: No...lol...I'll be on the road driving at 10 pm....lol...a 45 min drive.

ooc: How do we know if we're invited? I saw that Kit has an Invite on his bedroom door, but will you post other invites or do we just assume?

*Ember's ship touches down in Iziz, and ember pops out. He walks down the streets, and comes to a wall of guards blocking the area*

Guard: This is for Queen Kyra's ball....

"Im invited...."

Guard: Whats your name sir?

"Ember..."

Guard: Sorry not on our list.

"Anakin Lishto..."

Guard: Come right this way.......

*Ember smiles and follows the guard*

OOC: LOL....the official invitation was put in the RP area last week. Kit got a special parchment for all access to the palace since he asked to escort me.
