If you wish to get technical then yes...but Sidious formed the Empire in a rather brilliant fashion and seems to have a great handle over the Force...but like I said no one can verify who is the Absolute Best Sith Lord....

oh come on obsiden would never put false information about star wars into a game that was fact from a writter probably ...Lucas wouldnt put fake stuff about Plagueis in his film, would he? The dudes who wrote the bible, they wouldnt put false info in their book, would they? They all did... and why? To seek to make their storys better. |

Jetzt is right...stories are very crappy informants...think of how you would tell an exciting story to a friend...certain details are left out, forgotten, or even changed...to sit there and Say that everything Kreia mentions in KOTOR 2 is actual fact...well that's a little hard to believe.... |

lucas is behind star wars what he says is god unless it clashes with something major like chewie bringing up han bad move anyway obsidean read every single star wars book like bioware did because they were in someones elses yard so to speak, they said that themselves they wouldn't make somehting up.

A good point...but its actually a question of Philosophy...was Exar Kun (or whoever you think is Strongest) so great that another cannot be greater? Is there truly a paragon of greatness within all the names presented here in this thread? We simply don't know enough about Star Wars and The Force to compare...I ask you, What makes a Sith Lord great? Command of the Force, or Command of a Lightsaber? Accomplishments? Failures? Prophecy? In truth its a question that has no right or wrong answer...i have to vote not sure on this one...there isn't enough FACT. |

Listen to yourslef Matt! There were no such characters as Ajunta or Tulak until Bioware made them! Of course the writers are going to make their characters seem like unstoppable forces, it only adds to the story! ...but Kriea’s stories could only be classed as 100% authentic if she was actually there to witness them. That is not the case, the story of Hord is a Sith legend, which has no backbone. |

And don't get me wrong: you may be right...i'm just saying there isn't enough definite information...the most we know of is about Sidious so by judging his faults and successes one can easily assume he is or isn't the greatest.... |

To add on to what Jetzt is saying...even if she did witness those events she herself can manipulate the story. Conciously or Subconciously something WOULD get changed as she passed the story to the next person...It just all adds to the ignorance of both us and the writers...creating your own galaxy with its own Legends has its drawbacks as seen here: Are the Ancients truly as powerful as they are made out to be? Is Sidious the prime Dark Lord? These are questions that just come with creation and right now I haven't heard anything from Lucas about this so its all opinion... |

See it's that word 'Ever' on the end of that which makes me say no. The strongest Sith Lord is always the one yet to come. Why? because Villains always grow in strength as the Heroes grow. Otherwise there's really no story. The Heroes putting the beat down on a single stormtrooper really isn't much of climax.
Now if you were saying 'Who is the strongest Sith Lord to date?' then you have a finite period to deal with.

the thing about you paul saying legends being past down can be changed is that you are thinking of ancient grecce etc. Star wars recorded stuff though holocrons, computer terminals etc. alot easier to record information.

Its called added EU.... someone will make a story about the life of Hord and will have to pay Bioware money, because THEY HOLD THE RIGHTS TO THAT NAME! Its a Sith legend! The tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise, is also a Sith legend, there is no proof as to what this character did... just word of mouth. Both Traya and Sidious are great manipulators... these stories are meant to sound impressive for one reason... grab the audience's attention... It worked for Anakin, he believed every word of it... and when Palpatine says “To Cheat Death is a Power Only One Has Achieved..." he had conned the guy! Anakin was his to kick around. What happened next? Go to the temple and kill the kids, Lord Vader. |

The Bible is recorded yet its information is corrupted...the original story of Jesus no longer exists...and even so...the Character doesn't stumble upon these holocrons in the Game...therefore no one can honestly know about the Ancients...we must rely on Legends....still you argue a good point...i'm just playing Devil's Advocate.... |
