The reason why they said Undertaker was dead is because no-one will believe it as it is his trademark. They would have no reason to do this to Eddie.

yeah, The Undertaker has "died" a few times, most recently trying to get blown up in a car by Randy Orton. Now he;s coming back yet again, at Armageddon. His half brother Kane is the same way. Getting knocked into a flaming dumpster by Shane McMahon, but he's still there. Tag team champs with the Big Show.
