Awh, Im a Sgiathanach through and through, born and raised on Skye, family still is run by the Clan System, I take my boys to Culloden etc,,,
* From my last blog *
for you Brits that were told the story one way, and the Yanks who never get told this, here is loosely what happened, and why this means so much to me...
In the Jacobite Uprising of 1745, Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army were only beaten once, but it was this loss at Culloden (or Drumossie Muir) which destroyed the Highland way of life, as exemplified by the clan system.some clans that did not support the re-establishment of a Stewart upon the throne. and they sout the whims of the British, who offered them lands and titles for betraying their own Kin..The Price, and Duke of Cumberland met at Culloden, and while the Highlanders battled for our nation, our blood right, and met with great Honourand valor, we were slaughtered in under an hour..All the wounded on the field of battle were killed on the Thursday; and the wounded in houses were carried to the field on Friday, where they were killed. Upon Thursday, the day after the battle, a party was ordered to the field of battle to put to death all the wounded they should find upon it, which accordingly they performed with the greatest despatch and the utmost exactness, - carrying the wounded from the several parts of the field to two or three spots of rising ground, where they ranged them in due order, and instantly shot them dead. Upon the day following (Friday) parties were ordered to go and search for the wounded in houses in the neighbourhood of the field, to carry them to the field, and there to kill them. John MacLeod of MacLeod, junior, Esquire, has had the honesty and courage to declare, oftener than once, that he himself saw seventy-two killed in cold blood. At a small distance from the field, there was a hut for sheltering sheep or goats in cold and stormy weather. To this hut some of the wounded men had crawled, but were soon found out by the soldiery, who (immediately upon the discovery) made sure the door and set fire to several parts of the hut, so that all within perished in the flames, to the number of between thirty and forty persons, among whom were some beggars who had been spectators of the battle in hopes of sharing in the plunder. Many people went and viewed the smothered and scorched bodies among the rubbish of the hut. Among the number was Colonel Orelli, a brave old gentleman, who was either in the French or Spanish service..And the murder did not end there, the murder, and rape of women and children back home followed shortly, as if to twist the poisioned blade into the Highlands soul one last time to break us...
Cold winds on the moors blow. Warm the enemy's fires glow. Like the harvest of Culloden, Pain and fear and death grow. Twas love of our prince drove us to Drumossie, But in scarcely the time that it takes me to tell The flower of our country lay scorched by an army As ruthless and red as the embers of hell. The Campbell and McFall did the work of the English. McDonald in anger did no work at all. 'Twas musket and cannon against honour and courage. Invading men stood while our clansmen did fall. None other than children are left to the women, With only the memory of father and son. Turned out of their homes to make shelter for strangers, The blackest of hours on this land has begun.
Lion deoch-slainte Thearlaich, A mheirlich, strac a' chuach; B'i sid an iocshlaint' aluinn, Dh' ath-bheothaicheadh mo chaileachd, Ged a bhiodh am bas orm, Gun neart, gun agh, gun tuar,- Righ nan dul a chur do ohabhlaich Oirnn thar sail' ri luaths.
THE BATTLE OF CULLODEN WAS FOUGHT ON THIS MOOR 16TH APRIL, 1746. THE GRAVES OF THE GALLANT HIGHLANDERS WHO FOUGHT FOR SCOTLAND AND PRINCE CHARLIE ARE MARKED BY THE NAMES OF THEIR CLANS

Aye, i've been up to Culloden a few times, and all the others. We can but lament for our land that is lost. It's almost funny how scots now resemble the sheep that replaced them. where did the warrior celts go too..........? Anyways, Heres another pic - Recon/Sniper Droid.

For reconnisance I wouldn't suggest it. Try making ball and socket joints for somthing that would need to be flexable and agile. Your drawing is great, but without ball and socket joints, it would be hard to sneak around and manuver. But other wise I think its realy good.

Well the shoulder joints are ball and socket, i just forgot to adapt the hip joints. Anyways this just a Mk1 design is all about progression.
Cheers.
