I see the Juggernaught in the Hoth battle and some abandonned Darth Maul concept art for ROTS
EDIT: Here is the description:
By: Iain McCaig, Warren Fu, Derek Thompson, Various
They've been responsible for some of the most dazzling and awe-inspiring visuals ever put to film, and now the concept artists, behind the Star Wars prequels are bringing their considerable talents to comics.
Just in time for Star Wars: Episode III, the wildly gifted minds of the Lucasfilm art department and visual effects powerhouse Industrial Light & Magic come together to tell their own Star Wars tales in this compilation of short stories. Given free reign to explore any and every aspect of the Star Wars universe, each artist offers a new twist or a deeper view into that galaxy far, far away. Nowhere else will you find a more pure or more different look at George Lucas' enduring creation than through the eyes of the Star Wars: Visionaries.
• This is the first time a group of Star Wars movie concept artists and designers have written and drawn comics stories.
• With the release of the motion picture, Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith in spring 2005, Star Wars mania will be at a fever pitch.
the first of these short stories begins with Owen and a 3 year old Luke on Tatooine. they are watching the twin suns setting when all of a sudden Owen spies through his binoculars someone running at him from a distance. even on the page you can tell the stranger is running at a terrifying speed. when he gets to Owen he knocks him down and yells but one thing: "Kenobi!!". the attacker's face is hidden in a purple robe and all you see are his metal, three-toed legs. immediately you assume its Grievous back from the dead but instead its an enemy Obi-wan danced with much earlier in his career. all of a sudden off comes the robe revealing none other than Darth Maul!!
Yes thats right...you remember the robotic Maul that appeared in the OS last year...this one:
....well, they are gonna use it in the EU.
The Maul thing is dumb, but real
-the fifth short story is of a young rebel fighting the battle of hoth. a lot of it is him just talking to himself about the horrors of war. in the end, as he's about to meet his death he tells his friend to give a message to his mother. the boy dies. flash to the mother hearing the last of the message. the mother turns out to be mon mothma. she recieved the message just before the briefing in RotJ.
-there are some sexy pictures of women dressed in skin tight black leather uniforms. on the sleeve of the one girl is the imperial insignia. the other girl is holding a rancor on a leash. above them is written, "SEE NEW WORLDS! DO YOUR PART, SERVE! FLY FOR THE EMPIRE! JOIN TODAY!
-the eighth short story is about Kashyyk and the Wookiees getting mixed up in the Clone Wars. it begins with General Grevious ordering a neimodian to begin landing droids on the planet. flash to the wookiee king speaking with yoda via hologram. yoda says the republic will send aid. flash to the wookiee king's son out on a hunting expedition. the son is killed by the droid army. the king decides to side with the republic in the war against the seperatists.
-the last of the ten stories is about General Grievous and how he came to be. we find that he's a warrior from the planet Kalee. he is on his way to settle a conflict with a neighboring planet when his ship is destroyed in a plot carefully orchestrated by the sith. half alive the warrior is sent to a medical facility where San Hill is present. whats left of the warriors body is floating in a bacta tank. Dooku promises to make him a General of the greatest droid army in history. the sith vows to turn the crippled body into something more powerful than it ever was before.
what happens next will blow your mind....
out of Dooku's ship slides the frozen body of
SIFO-DYAS!!! dooku then says, "ready for your blood transfusion master...?"
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!?!
General Grievous recieves his quick, jedi-like moves from Syfo-Dyas.
after being fit with his new robotic body the General finally assumes his new identity and pledges his allegiance to the sith lords....
This is just stupid
