The Legacy of Lord Tempest
Chapter One The Crystal War It began almost four thousand years ago on the outer rim planet Yalara. In the settling dusts of the Crystal War. The Crystal War began after a large meteor crashed into the Yarul cliff. It penetrated the rock and dug deep into the heart of the planet. Due to this, the meteor's core became exposed showing a black crystal which eminated power unknown to the long lived and peacefull Yalarans. Some saught to use this power for the greater good, others for unspeakable evils. To such men were Brother Xel, the planet's religous leader, and General Vant Gisho, the leader of the Yalaran Royal Guard. General Gisho rose up against Brother Xel's Order and the Crystal War began. Battles raged accross the planet, forces loyal to the Royal Family stood with General Gisho whereas followers of The Order stood beside Brother Xel and used all the spells they knew to keep the General and his forces at bay. In the final battle, a standoff of the two great powers at Yarul cliff, General Gisho's men slaughtered hundreds, maybe thousands of Monks and Handmaidens. Brother Xel fell to the Sword of Light which the General had forged from the ore of the meteor. This sword was also enhanced by a shard of the dark crystal, making it's blade glow a dull blue colour. Not long after the battle had ended, what remained of Brother Xel's Order were imprisoned and General Gisho proclaimed himself the new leader of the Order. He had a great Temple built at the site of Yarul and established new teachings. At the very heart of the Temple, deep in the catacombes lay the Crystal. It became the centre of teachings for the Necromancers Of Darkness, a sect of the Order that Gisho himself hand-picked. He also created other sects, these were the already established Monk, the new Temple Guardians and the Guardians of Angels. The Guardians of Angels were responsable for healing and protection on the spiritual plains. The Temple Guardians were responsable for physical protection against the many rebel forces that were loyal to Brother Xel. The Monks were now given the task of spreading the new teachings to the people of Yalara and protection the Holy Scriptures of their past Order. General Gisho's plan for the Necromancers however were far removed from that of the other sects. He began to train them in the dark arts. By focusing the new 'force' that the Crystal eminated they soon grew extremely powerful. Time passed on and Gisho grew hungry for more power. He began to feed upon the souls of the dead and dying. He became insane as the voices in his mind kept screaming for more, more. He begun to travel offworld to feed his hunger, growing ever more powerful, then only one hundred years after his victory at Yarul, he dissappeared without trace. The New Order went on and changed from the enforcers of Gisho's power to the peacefull Guardians of Light that are known today. The technolagy became more advanced and their understanding of this new 'force' also grew.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest Chapter Two The Rise of Lord Tempest. Three hundred years ago, a young Sith knight by the name of Zagren Kall saught great power. He was only young, but after a fierce battle between him and his Master he was left mutilated. His left arm had been trapped in the jaws of his Master's faithfull Nexu, his left leg crushed by his Master forcethroing a giant pylon at him, his body was scarred and burned from the powerfull lightning attacks his Master set upon him. During the battle on the planet Kamino a great Tempest raged, soaking them to the bone. Zagren held his ground, even after losing two limbs he still managed to beat down his Master and severed his head. He fed upon the Dark Side for his strength and in honour of that day he took the title of Lord Tempest. With his body broken Lord Tempest delved into the wealth of medical and technalogical knowlage that all races had to offer. Finding that the enhancments he made to his ravaged body made him even stronger he gathered scientists, soldiers, mechanics and the like. He took them to the planet of Af'El and created a base. Researching into new methods of cloning based upon those of the Kamino he painstakingly created a new breed of soldier. This project was named Project Fury. But there was one more thing that Lord Tempest needed to finalise his project. A source of ultimate power. He needed the Yarul Crystal. Leading an army of Fury Soldiers he attacked the city of Yarul. He knew that the Crystal lay deep in the heart of the Temple there and would not stop until he had it in his hands. Unfortunatly, he did not expect such great resistance from the people of Yarul. His army was beaten back, the opposiosion led by the four leaders of the Guardians of Light, Vincent (a Monk), Minara (a Necromancer), Karash (a Temple Guardian) and Kaya (a Guardian of Angels). Lord Tempest did not leave the planet without a prize though. He captured the four. His intention, to use them as part of Project Fury. He became obsessed with the Crystal though. Focusing his research on the development of Vincent, he turned him into a gigantic killing machine. He named the project 'Wrath'. But sadly for Lord Tempest, he died before he could take his new Project Wrath back to Yarul to take the Crystal. Lord Tempest's death was at the hands of a strange entity. He claimed to be Death Incarnate, feeding upon the souls of the powerfull to sait his hunger. Project Fury and Project Wrath became nothing but a myth. The facility on Af'El became hidden from sight by a storm of unimaginable magnitude. All the test subjects were frozen in suspended animation. The facilities power core kept running, conserving all the data concerning the Projects and also concerving the Projects themselves.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest
Chapter Three The Fall of Master Peacecraft Fourty-seven years ago in the city of Iziz on Onderon, the noble Peacecraft family were blessed with a son. He was named Zex Marquise and began to show signs of The Force when he was only one year old. At the age of three he was adopted by the Jedi Order and taken to Coruscant. His first couple of years there were spent learning to read, write, and playing with the other young ones. When his Jedi training finally began he learned alongside such people as Dexon Kyjar and Jetzt. He learned alarmingly fast and became a great saber-master. His main skill however lay within The Force. He became so attuned to The Force that he could master techiques that most Knights and even some Masters could not. Some feared him, others took this as a sign that the Jedi would soon be able to overthrow the Sith once and for all. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Knight at the tender age of thirteen and taking the rank of Watchman at sixteen. By the age of twenty he had surpassed the expectations of even the Masters and became the youngest to ever hold the title of Master in the recent history of the Jedi Order. He travelled far accross the Galaxy and even began to train the younglings at the Temple on Coruscant. One such youngling was a very young girl named Sophia Muad'Dib. Her parents and brother had been killed in a skycar accident and when the government had found she was Force sensative she was handed over to the Jedi Order. She may have been young, but she proved to be a chalange for the newly appointed Master Peacecraft. She was brash and cared not for the safety of her fellow Padawan. Then in one training session she struck Zex and wounded him, plunging her saber into his chest out of anger. She thought him dead and left the Order. After a slow recovery, Zex awakened to find her gone. His most talented pupil had struck him out of anger. He saw this a failure and left the Order. Exhiling himself from the life he once knew. He travelled the galaxy far and wide, aiding those he could and searching for ancient Jedi Artifacts. On his travels, he came accross a young girl named Sophia Alice Mina. She asked him to train her in the ways of the Lightsaber, but not in the ways of The Force. She was an adept pupil, not that dis-similar to Sophia Muad'Dib. However, their relationship was not to be longlived. They battled for the survival of an entire race. A Demon calling himself Gisho came to SAM's home planet and devoured every living soul there. He wiped out an entire race. SAM and Zex werer the only ones left standing at the end. In a daring move, SAM faced Gisho in order to save Zex's life. She fell to his blade and Gisho did not allow her to become one with The Force. He made her roam the world of the living as a spirit made flesh. This tormented Zex greatly, the one he had come to love was being made to suffer and there was nothing he could do to save her. He bacame insane and began a journey down the Dark Side that he could not turn from. He had to find a way to kill this Demon to free SAM. In his twenty-second year of life, he stumbled accross a burried facility on Af'El. He sensed great power there. Power of the Dark Side. He searched the facility and read all the information he could about what happened there. He became engrossed in the research and vowed that he would use this to his advantage to gain revenge for SAM. He left Af'El in search of scientists. His search led him to Ryloth where he became involved with a Twi'lekk woman. He fathered a child whom he named Zovia. But this he saw as an opportunity to experiment with the research he had done at Af'El. He took his daughter there and treated her, manipulating her DNA to make her entirly Twi'Lekk instead of the Human-Twi'Lekk halfbreed that she had been born. His experiment was a success and he took Zovia back to Ryloth and had her train there, alongside her older borther, to become Zex's successors if he should die. Zex then returned to Af'El and restarted the Fury and Wrath projects. He did however reprogramme them. He reprogrammed the soldiers of Project Fury to become and elite guard and security force for the facility. Project Wrath, aka Vincent, was programmed to be an assassin for Zex. Also, after restarting the project Zex took on the name of the Sith who begun it. Master Zex Marquise Peacecraft became the new Lord Tempest.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest
Chapter Four The Life of Sophia Muad'Dib Seventeen years ago Sophia Muad'Dib lost her parents and brother in a tragic skycar accident on the capital world of Coruscant. The droid driver malfunctioned and the skycar plunged into the depths. She was five years old. With no other relatives to speak of the government planned to put her into foster care, but when they learned that she was Force sensative they gave her to the Jedi Order. She despised the Jedi and their preaching attitude. She hated the Sith worse, but doesn't everyone? While at the Temple she learned under the tuition of one Master Peacecraft, a young man too. She became his star pupil, but her anger for the loss of her familly made her strike her Master. She served him a killing blow. Thinking he was dead, and ashamed for what she had done she fled the Temple and hid in the undercity. After six or seven months on the lower streets of Coruscant she had become and expert pick pocket, the next pocket her next meal. She had also picked up a few nifty fighting techniques alonside her Jedi training. She was begining to get noticed by the street gangs when one night, skulking the dark alleys, she was approached by a member of the Syndicate. The Syndicate, the gangster ring of upper Coruscant. She underwent the strictest training in hand held weapons, blaster marskmanship and unarmed combat. She advanced through the ranks extremely quickly. One day, seven years ago, the Syndicate decided to put her to good use. She already had several neat kills to her name and now it was time for the big test. Her target: Dash the Hutt. Dash was an up and coming gangster who had gained the attention of the Syndicate. However, he was dealing under the table with Black Sun group. The Syndicate did not like this. Sophia decided to take a new angle on this one. She posed as a slave in the market and caught Dash's attention right away. After a few months of gaining his trust, (that was Dash's downfall, trust) she decided to strike. One night, she slipped her chains, easily done, sneaked past the room guard, a mere thought of 'Come on, look the other way.' sorted him out. She then, keeping to the shadows, slipped into the main bar. She approached the nearest guard from behind, took his knife from his belt and plunged it into his back just below his neck. The guard fell to his knees and she leaned him against the wall in the corner with an empty cup in his hand and his head lolled forward. She proceeded to the next guard, again keeping to the shadows. Guard after guard fell, some dead others knocked unconscious. Eventually she made it to Dash's private room. She creaped up behind him and without a sound leaped ontop of him. He woke up to see her with knife in hand lunging for his, what could be called, forehead. He moved, knocking her aim off and she only managed to remove his right eye. Screaming and bleeding heavily, Dash ordered what was left of his guards to restrain her. Impressed with her efforts, Dash offered to spare her life if she came to work for him. He offered her tripple that of the bounty and to keep her in good care. She thought hard about this offer. It would mean abandonning the Syndicate, not a good idea. But working for the Hutts has its advantages. 'Why not?' she told him. 'A wise choice girl.' came the reply. After a couple of years she had a few hundred minor kills and almost seventy major kills to her name. Dash had provided her with her own skycar and appartment, she had also pulled together the funds to build her own starfighter. Then one day she discovered that Dash had betrayed her. She did not tolerate betrayal. On her last mission for Dash she came accross a Sith holocron, it's information encoded to hide the owner's true intent. All that she could fathom was that she had become a target of the Sith, one Darth Tempest. After sort of hiring a Jedi named Revan she managed to kill Dash and escape Coruscant. She searched for this Darth Tempest, but to no avail. She did however find the power of the Dematri. An ancient race, she followed their teachin but only to be consumed by the Darkness of their power. In a final fight with their Queen Cyris, she fell to her death, their king Devlen's sword plunged into her chest.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest Chapter Five The Demise of Darth Tempest During his life as Lord Tempest, Zex gained great power. He put out a bounty on his old Padawan Sophia Muad'Dib. He even managed to gain a sample of her DNA and created a clone of her with his new technology. But he wanted her, the real Sophia to be at his side once more. He sent Project Wrath to Coruscant to collect her, but the ship carrying Project Wrath crashed on the way. Meanwhile, Darth Tempest returned to Coruscant under the guise of his former self, Master Zex Marquise Peacecraft. He became a trusted member of the Jedi Council, alongside his old friens Dexon Kyjar. His plan was to bring down the Jedi Order form the inside. This however failed when word reached him from Af'El that there was trouble brewing on Ryloth. Darth Tempest returned to Ryloth to see his dark apprentice, Lord Reign. Meanwhile Reign's sister, Zex's daughter, Zovia, confronted Reign saying that he weak and could not see the Truth. Darth Tempest entered the compound to see Reign's body, with no head. Tempest became aggrivated at this and headed out onto the sand dunes to find Zovia. He found her standing atop a dune with Reign's head on a forcepike, his lekku flapping in a slight breeze. "Well done my young apprentice. Now you may take your place at my side as Lord Reign." He said over the howling winds. Zovia scoffed at him and threw Reign's lightsaber at Tempest's feet. "You are blind. You can not see the Truth. I know the Truth. Why you came here. How my mother died. Why you returnd to the Jedi Council. I know it all." Tempest picked up Reign's saber and ignited it. The red plasmatic blade broiled forth and sizzled. He realised that there must be a crystal missing from the assembly. Zovia held up a small, rough, crimson coloured crystal and smiled. "I suppose you would want this back?" She said sarcastically. "You wish to take the mantle of Darth then. You will fail Zovia. Remember that I taught you, and I did not teach you all that I know." Zovia steped forward and igniting her crimson lightsaber and said, "Like I said. You know nothing. You taught me, but you could not see the Truth. The Jedi exhiled you as they did the Dark Ones thousands of years ago. Yet you returned to them in peace. You pretended to be the man you once were. The only thing you ever taught me was to hate the Jedi for what they have done. You planned to topple them from the inside. We both knew that would not work. So you have come back here, to your precious Lord Reign. You believed him the strongest of us. But he could not see the Truth as I do." Tempest launched a storm of force-lightning at her but she deflected it with her free hand. He looked at her, surprised, and sended an invisible wave of air at her. She was pushed back a couple of meters but stood firm. Tempest then raised a hand and used the force to throw an evaporator assembly at her. She used the force to leap over the assembly, flipping in mid air, she landed in front of him and strikds at him with her saber but he blocked the attack with the saber that had belonged to Lord Reign. "You have learned much daughter..." Zovia droped to the ground and swiped a kick at his legs. Tempest leaped over her and landed facing her as she spun upwards and turned to face him. "You have no right to call me 'daughter'! You killed Chis in a fit of rage. You have no control over your power!" Tempest steped back with a look of shock on his face and he looked at the lekku wrap bound at his left wrist. "Yes...... you killed her.... but you are so blinded to the Truth that you do not remember." "No........ it..... she... she died in a storm...." "A STORM OF YOUR FURY!" Zovia shouted as she raised her saber to meet his gaze. Tempest bashed her saber aside and lunged at her. DT: "You LIE!" Zovia steped sideways and kicked him in the rump as he passeed and he fell in the dirt. "Get up! My brother faught better than you and he was a mere apprentice." Tempest clentched his left hand and stood up. He used the force to create a sand storm, a true Tempest. Unable to see him by eye, Zovia focused her mind so that she could feel all that was around her. She sensed his attack before it happend. Tempest lunged from behind her and she twirled her saber in her hand so it span behind her back and deflected his blow. As she turned she sended a wave of force-lightning at him but he deflected it just in time, but he was caught by her saber on his right shoulder. Zovia let out a scream fueled by the dark side which caused Tempest to drop the saber and clasp his hands over his ears. Zovia reacheed out and called the dropped saber to her and she used the force to throw it away as the sand storm died down. Zovia stood over Tempest and he grined as she brought her saber down upon his neck. "Now where is your Wrath?" Zovia Arnak whispered these words as she placed Darth Tempest's head on a forcepike next to Lord Reign's.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest
Chapter Six The Rise and Fall of The Guardians of Light. A little over to years ago Darth Tempest sent Project Wrath to Coruscant to find and bring back Sophia Muad'Dib. Unfortunatly there was a power failure on the shuttle transport and it dropped out of hyperspace and was only just able to make a safe crash landing on a strange planet. The contents of the cargo hold were the only thing to survive intact, this was the cryo unit fo Project Wrath. However there had been some minor damage to Project Wrath. When he was woken from cryo sleep he had no memory. He had not yet been programmed with his target, this would have happened when they reached Coruscant. He could not even remember his name so he adoptd the letters on the side of his cryo unit as his name, KABAL. He managed to get off planet with the help of Mandalore, much to Mandalore's protests. He searched the starcharts on Mandalore's ship and pointed out to the Af'El system and demanded to go there. Mandalore obliged, if only to find out what this behemoth wanted there. They reached the facility and attacked it, KABAL forcing his way through scores of Fury soldiers and eventually reaching the lab where he was created. He 'questioned' the scientists as to his creation and subsequently destroyed half the facility. Unbeknownst to him he accidentally activated the 'Desert Mouse' Protocol, sending a small shuttle containing the clone of Sophia Muad'Dib, who had been kept in cryo since her creation, to the planet Tattooine. KABAL then decided that it would be best if he left Af'El and attempt to recover his memory. Then, whilst on his return to Coruscant he was attacked by three Force Adepts. They turned out to be Minara, Karash and Kaya; The Guardians Of Light that were captured by the first Lord Tempest on Yalara. Kaya, the healer and only one of them that was not related, (Vincent, Minara and Karash were siblings), managed to restore Vincent's body, although some of the 'adjustments' that Lord and Darth Tempest had made were kept as they proved to be quite usefull. With Minara's help though, they managed to restore Vincent's mind and memory. In an attempt to find out why they were captured by Lord Tempest they returned to Yalara and the Temple of Yarul. Here, Vincent entered the Temple alone. He made his way to the deepest chamber, the Crystal Chamber where the Dark Crystal was kept. There he discovered an unbelievable truth. His entire religion had been based on the teachings of Gisho the Death Demon. The Crystal storing the souls reaped by him and those of his Necromancer Order. In order to defeat Gisho and free the spirit of Master Peacecraft and SAM he destroyed the Crystal, thus ending the quest for power that Lord Tempest had set out to seek. Once his work was done, he left the Temple and with the aid of Kaya and Karash they sealed the Temple so no-one could enter. After this they met up with Minara and went to one of the Banking worlds to help investigate what appeared to be sabotage. Here though they met their end. A Sith Assassin had a contract with Darth Tempest that if Project Wrath was to become free-willed, he had to destroy him. Her name was Lady Mei Lin and she was most efficiant at her task, killing all four of the Guardians of Light in the space of five hours.

The Legacy of Lord Tempest Chapter Seven Return of the Master and the Pupil During KABAL's destruction of the facility at Af'El he unwittingly activated the Desert Mouse Programme. This sent the cryo tube containing the cloned Sophia Muad'Dib to the planet Tattooine. Once the ship executed a 'safe crash' outside one of the major ports, the clone Sophia was taken to a medical unit and revived. Due to the fact that she as cloned, she only had partial memory and the only difference between her and the now dead original was the barcode on her neck. Discovered clasped in her hand when she was revived was silver lightsaber with gold engravings which outlined the letters ZMP. After two years of working in a well kept cantina and swoop racing every now and then, her brother, Baraduin Harper Muad'Dib eventually found her. Thinking that she was the original Sophia and not the Clone created by Darth Tempest, he took her back to Coruscant. Her memories began to return and she visited the Jedi Temple in search of who she thought was her old Master. Whilst sitting on a bench time seemed to stop, she had entered a medatative state in which she came into contact with the Spirit of Master Zex Marquise Peacecraft. Zex revealed to her that she was in fact a clone of his firt and most favoured student there at the Temple. He had created her so he could once again be united with her but had not been able to bring himself to wake her, afraid that the cloning process might have gone wrong and that she would not remember him. After their meeting of a sort, Sophia went to the Temple to find Zex's old friend Dexon Kyjar, to find out more information. While there she met a Knight by the name of Remer Ather and she decided to once again join the Jedi Order. The Spirit Master Peacecraft continued her training and also began to train Remer Ather. Sophia and Remer became close friends, there was an unspoken connection between them, something possibly even close to love. They went on a mission into the deapths of Coruscant to police the undercity. There they came accross a Chiss and a Sith Knight by the name of Estamme. They seemed to be in trouble with Remer wounded, but Master Peacecraft interjected. He revealed to Estamme the True Power of the Dark Side, what he had once been as Darth Tempest. Creating a half illusion, feeding on the fears of all those around him, Remer hearing the screams of his dead mother, the Chiss seeing nothing but darkness, Estamme standing in the blood and bone of the fallen. This effect however had a diverse effect on Sophia. Although she had managed to break free of the images and focus her mind to determine the reality of things, eventually it would all come crashing down upon her.
