"Well I could teach you Force powers... but see, there's a dilemma with that.
The problem being that I can't just go around teaching the Force to any old Force Sensitive I find around! No! They have to be in the Jedi Order! 'Cause people with the knowledge of the Force who aren't the Jedi are very likely to become our enemies. And the last thing we need is powerful enemies..."
