Is anyone else a little annoyed at how some mods and admins seem to continue talking in a thread even after they have locked it? It seems to me that it is kind of unfair especially if they something about a non-staff member and they can't as easily respond. Plus they already have a area for themselves anyway so it is not as if they need to, plus it would seem to me that if they need to post in a locked thread it should be for unlocking it or disagreeing with the person who locked it.

i am not totally annoyed by it since most staff only unlock a thread to add something if they feel it is necessary (ie if they were not on when the locking occured). I don't always think it serves a purpose, but if they feel the need to add something, it is there right as a staff member to do so. As long as it is only 1 or 2 comments, i am ok with it...

Well actually we don't have to unlock a thread to post in it. We still have access to post in the thread even when it is locked.

Either way, my point was, I tend to find that staff only post in a locked thread if they need to, not to talk without non-staff responding.

Well I was kind of refering to the 'Pictures of Us' that has gone two or three days being locked and has been keep 'active' by staff posting in it.

I assumed as much. That is one of the cases where I agree with you. A line was crossed, the staff made their point and locked the thread. There was no need to continue posting. I just find that this situation is the exception, not the norm.

Usually Admins will make one or two more posts after a thread is locked (I know I will to put in my two cents if I hadnt made a post there before the thread was locked)
