I am sick to death of seeing these 'advanced' ships that are more powerful than ships made AFTER this era.

this is for a fighter btw, and it is just an example, i'm not picking on anyone

Armaments: 2 forward mini gun laser cannons...Able to lay down unmatched fire power. Each barrel rotates after it fires with blinding speed. In order to power such a weapon new technologies had top be invented by the Durosians. Directly behind the guns are massive power cells.

Aft Ion mini cannon: Same as the two forward guns except this one fires ion energy bolts...

One missile launcher with six tracking missiles...


...These ships have unmatched sub light speed capabilities and maneuverability.

We SERIOUSLY need to come up with a set of size specific rules, and we need to hire a mod to enforce these rules.

Although I would have to agree with the massive number of weapons on ships... I don't think (To my knowlege, I'm not looking it up) Quad-Turbo Lasers isn't the best thing to add to a Freighter... I'll go look it up now

Couple of things. How does a fighter sized craft have fifty concussion missiles on board? I thought concussions were too big for fighters? The fact that you have only one blaster cannon (with considerable recharge time because of the magnitude) makes me happy, so kudos to you.

Careful with that AI. No computer can know ALL Republic stretegies.

The tri-phase cannons are a bit wierd. How does a cannon designed for firing plasma bursts, manage to fire projectiles too? If you could explain that, it would help in a verdict.

Concussion missiles are just explosive missiles, I think… Yeah and I need to have some ‘uber’ thing in to make it look as though it can compete against other stores

Heh The Tri-phase Cannons change their shape as they change the way they fire (Kind of how the ship itself has 3 forms) and they change the 'cartridge' of ammo it uses for every weapon.

Fighters to some extent are big enough to carry three concussion missels, though thys is fighters comperable in size to a B-, or a Y-Wing, which they sacrofice speed and manuverability to have these weapons..

Starships along with other aspects of technology will always be a grey area in this era. As there is no clear and defined measure of what is or isn't avaliable it has been the policy as long as I've seen on here that is to allow nearly anything within reason. Those last two words 'within reason' is the most subjective pairing of words in any language ever concieved! ;D
They basically mean if you can get at least one person to agree with you then it's 'within reason'. What needs to be done is someone set down and define what exactly CAN or CAN'T be used in this time frame but we all know 85% of the ships being used now would get the boot! Case and point Laser weaponry was even at the time of the clone wars limited to space transport and capital ships. Fighters very rarely had them even then! Most of the fighter based weapons were blaster cannons and variants. That is not to say someone couldn't go digging through the various reams and reams of online Star Wars stuff and find a Kotor fighter that has laser cannons on it however I do know that Turbo Lasers are capital scale weapons the Quad Laser cannons on the Falcon aren't turbo lasers they're just laser cannons. A fighter mounting a turbo laser would be like a mustang from WWII mounting a tank cannon on it! Now a Space Transport (Light freighters and such) could maybe mount ONE turbo laser (not a quad or a dual but a Single laser) on it but it would require major beefing up of the power systems and cut down times between ship refueling by a good bit. In d20 here's the difference between the Falcon's quad laser cannon and a typical turbo laser:

Quad Laser Cannon damage: 6d10x2

Turbo Laser damage: 5d10x5

And the cannons on the Falcon have been tweaked and boosted to the max they can go while the turbo laser is at factory specs so with a tech that can upgrade weaponry you could get upwards of 8d10x5 out of them. Also the Quads take a crew of one while the turbos take a crew of 4 or more depending... Turbo lasers definately not fighter weapons.
