NAME: Tiras Nai/ Skamir Sode
SPECIES: Vurk
HOMEWORLD: Chandrilla
BIO:
Tiras Nai was possibly one of the most undernoticed Jedi in the order, hailing from the Vurk species, but a powerful and promising Jedi none the less.
He admired many Jedi, such as the legendary Mace Windu and longed for a position on the council, but his feelings were never expressed openly.
When the Jedi were required to take a stand against the Mandalorians, Tiras was one of the hundreds among the taskforce.
The young Knight did well, cutting down several of the powerful warriors, but a stray explosion during the battle knocked Tiras unconscious, killed his master and was missing, presumed dead by the Council.
As a result of the explosion, Tiras fell into a coma, being left on the world for months, only his alien metabolism kept him alive.
Tiras was later found by a party of scavengers, led by the pirate criminal, Faldran Scode, a wealthy Twi'Lek from Corulag.
Faldran took pity on the fallen Jedi and he and his party saw to it that the Vurk was nursed back to health.
He was taken to see medical professionals on Corulag who were able to rouse him from the coma.
Tiras didn't know who he was, what he was or even that he was a Jedi.
Faldran decided to shelter the man until his memory returned, naming him Skamir for name's sake.
The Vurk never got his memory back and eventually began to accept his new life as a member of Faldran's pirate family, raiding and looting Republic Ships.
It was only a chance encounter with a Republic Diplomatic ship that had been set up as a sting operation for the Pirate gang was able to jog Skamir's memory.
The ship was to supposedly contain some of the rarest gems known in the galaxy, but instead played host to a Republic Security Force, led by Jedi Master Billit Hassk.
When the pirate's boarded, they were ordered to surrender, realising he was as good as dead, Faldran drew his weapons, as did his comrades.
Unfortunately, Faldran was killed in the gunfight that ensued, fuelled by rage, Skamir was able to dispatch the Republic Police and eventually faced off with Master Hassk.
The Jedi could sense Skamir was strong in the force, and thus a danger.
Skamir engaged in a lightsaber VS Vibroblade fight with the esteemed Jedi, eventually besting her and killing her.
This caused Skamir's mind to explode with cinfusion, the sights of the lightsaber and his newfound connection to the force made him recall fuzzy and vague memories of his past life as a Jedi Knoght, but he was confused and upset, escaping on Faldran's ship and fleeing to the core worlds to seek truth in the Jedi order.
Upon returning, Skamir was confronted by the police, but used his unusual and raw poer, to him anyway, to escape and sought help in the Jedi temple.
There, the Jedi council offered to help him regain his memories of his past life, and offered to retrain him.
Skamir accepted, but kept his new name, often being called Skamir-Tiras by fellow students.
Skamir soon found his new training to be unsatisfactory, realzing that the power he felt before was known as the dark side and was being surpessed, Skamir turned on his master and killed him, becoming a confused and upset Dark Jedi with two identities, no family that he could remember and no purpose in the universe.
Skamir took the first ship offworld and now resides in the outer rim, away from Jedi influence, accepting a new purpose as a mercenary whilst being tracked by the Republic and the Jedi.
