Yes, I do that often. I make the first post of a thread pretty long, most of the time, then I make the rest shorter, much shorter.

Well done you've led me onto my next point, its about quality not quantity.
Post 1: Sabre ran and ran. his feet were moving really fast and the air was windy. He continued running and jumping form building to building, he was going faster than a Bantha or so it seemed.
Post 2: His feet carried him swiftly across the buildings, the bitter air sailed past him as he went.
Which is better?
