The dueling droids were programmed to kill. They had been programmed with the skills of a dozen martial arts masters and their reflexes were calibreted just a hair faster than human optimun. Their durasteel chassis were blaster-resistant. They had come factory-equiped with behavioral inhibitors that prevented them from delivering a death blow once their opponent had been beaten, but these inhibitors had been nullified by the new owner. A mistake agasnt one would be fatal.
Darth Invidius did not make mistakes...
The Dark Lord stood in the middle of the trainning chamber as four droids circled him...The Dark Side blossomed within him, it's power resonating in him like black lightning, augmenting his years of trainning, guiding his reactions! Time seemed to slow, to stretch. He could feel it coursing through his body with gleaming arcs of anger...Suddenly he raised his weapon, the double-bladed lightsaber and triggered the power control. Two lance of pure mutilating energy boiled forth, hissing and crackling in crimson loops...He then moved fast, tremendously fast...The force guiding his every movements as he made his way toward the droids and in one swift motion, he chop them in half. The broken pieces of both of the droid clattered louldly on the floor as the two remaining robots charged wildly towards the Dark Lord....
But before they came at striking range, Invidius had already gathered enough energy and sent the full might of his furry crashing down upon them! What seemed to be a invisible fist of the Force met them at full speed, completely shattering them...Invidius allowed himself a twitch of his lips. He pressed the lightsaber's controls. The humming died and the energy beams blinked out....
