*He grins at his last comment, yet is upset that Laili completely ignored his mentioning of their marriage. Does she want to get married or not? He knew that now would not be the best time to have this argument...not in her condition. He still felt a great pain in his heart.*

*She smiled at his concern for her and the news of Invidius leaving. She wraps her arms about him tightly and kisses him passionately. Purring with delight, she looks into his eyes lovingly.*

"Then there's nothing against our returning and getting married now. Mrs. Bac....has a ring to it."

*She kisses him again.*

"Speaking of a ring..."

*He reaches into his cloak and searches for a moment before pulling out a small box.*

"... haven't been around much, so I never had a chance to give you this."

*He opens the box to reveal a large diamond on a gold band. It glistens in the early morning sunlight, reflecting into Laili's beautiful eyes. Mantus smiles.*

"I hope you like it."

*Her mouth drops open as he shows her the ring. She didn't expect anything like this. She knew it was tradition, but she never pushed it. Tears threatened to spill forth from her eyes as she looked at the ring and then clasps her arms around him tightly.*

"It's beautiful."

"I thought you might like that..."

*He places the ring on her finger and kisses her passionately.*

"I'll make the arrangements for the trip to Korriban. I want to give it a few days...just to make sure that General Bolt Bucket has left for good. And, you can get some rest. It will do you good. To tell the truth, I could use some rest myself. Galavanting throughout the cosmos can be tiring."

*She melts in his embrace and meets his kiss with burning passion. The time he had spent away with Ravinos had tore at her heart. With her pregnancy being so difficult, she couldn't get away. Kali was just happy he had come in time to see his son born. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with her fiance. Perhaps she could even talk to her brother about it. Kali pulls away just far enough to look into his eyes but still so close as her fingers trace his left earlobe.*
