A Chance Meeting (Closed)

[Crem Omas]

Crem Omas stood and looked around. He was in one of the back Allys in Upper-Courasant. The sounds of the speeders zooming by met his ears. Time to look for a mark, he thought. He needed credits for food and the only way he could get them was through stealing. Kasea flashed him a thumbs up. That meant she had seen a possible target. Time to go to work...

Crem and Kasea walked quickly down the ally and out onto a walkway. The mark was a rich looking Nobel who had a protocol droid following. Crem saw at once why Kasea had picked him, he had a credit chip in his left front pocket. You could see the outline from here and it would be an easy bump 'n' grab job.

Kasea spun off to the side and Crem walked straight towards the man. He bumped into the man and slipped his hand into the mans pocket and grabbed the credit chip. He was spinning off when someone bumped into him...

[Sabre]

The Jedi Knight Jet-Wal Kindan chanced upon a thief. As he stumbled ungraciously into him the Jet-Wal could instantly sense what he had been doing, instantly know his motives and feelings. Jet-Wal acted with great finesse and ease, such a situation was not a common one for him however he had an uncanny way of knowing how to deal with things before he knew he would have to. The boy was suddenly caught from the waist up in a force grip, not a lethal one but merely a constraining one, such used many times before by Jet-Wal. He continued to walk dragging the lad somewhat beside him, the boys feet could move but only in one direction. “Now why would you do a thing like that,” he said holding a look of complete control and ease on his plain Jedi face.

[Crem Omas]

"Please sir," Crem said "Its just I ain't got any food!" As Crem said these words he began to try and get free but he couldn't. He struggled and struggled but he couldn't get free. Out of the corner off his eye he saw Kasea, she looked poised to run. Silently he willed her not to run.

[Sabre]

“A fair excuse that may be, however I believe there are shelters for the homeless and such” He said trying to look normal as he walked through the Sith covered world.

[Crem Omas]

"Please sir, let me go I'll change my ways" Crem said not meaning a word. Kasea realizing she was in no danger since the newcomer didn't know she was involved hung back to watch. Some of the other people on the walkway stared at the boy following the man and wondered why he was acting so strangely, but then it was blanked out by the mind-numbing dullness of their day to day lives.

[Sabre]

“Don’t lie to me I see through them, have you ever thought of peruing another lifestyle?” He said with a glint in his eye.

[Crem Omas]

Crem studied the mans eyes for a minute. The meaning of the question eluded him but still he was caught off guard by it. Eventually he said, "Who are you? And what do you mean another lifestyle?"

[Sabre]

“Why don’t you try and guess.” He said.

[Crem Omas]

"Your one of them Jedi arn't you? They are all so... confuesing" Crem said. "Just like you."

[Sabre]

“Yes, many of lesser integrity would say that. I think you might find that we are merely better educated in the articulation of fathomless meanings than commoners of the nameless cities sitting in the galaxy. You still haven’t answered my question.” He said.

[Crem Omas]

Crem thourght for a moment then said "I would consider another life style, but all the others I need credits for, and since you stopped my money earning exercise I don't have any other choice do I?"

[Sabre]

“We all have choices boy, I stopped constraining you 3 minutes ago, yet your still walking. Our choices define us as sentient beings. and not brainless creatures of instinct and chance. I sense much opportunity in you, much destiny, would you be at all interested?” He said.

[Crem Omas]

"I would, but what of the destiny you are offering me? Where will it lead me?" Crem said, although he was aware that he could run he was intrigued as to what this stranger was offering.

[Crem Omas]

Kesea watched Crem and the man and began to grow worried... What did the man have planed for her friend? She didn't want anything to happend to her friend... He was almost like her brother!

[Sabre]

"I sence something in you. Something hidden behind the sheell eyes can't peirce." He said, a slight glint in his eye.
