*After some time, Kali regains conciousness and groans with pain as the cramps had grown more severe. She lifted her head and looked down across her battle tattered body and sees the blood that had already been spilled. If she didn't get medical help soon, the child would be lost. She looked around the ship looking for Mantus scared.*

*Mantus was frantically driving the ship through hyperspace. He was searching the star map for the closest isolated medical center he could find. He turns to check on Kali and sees her starting to sit up. He puts the ship on automatic and runs to her.*
"Shhhh...don't sit up. Stay still..."
*He pulls off his cloak and places it under her head. He brushed her hair and smiled.*
"It will be alright."

*Her brow was covered in perspiration and her face was growing more pale. She was losing alot of blood. Was he seeing his vision played out before him even now? She winces in pain again before laying her head back down and looking at him.*

*She cries out again in pain louder this time. The contractions weren't regular but they were getting stronger. He could see the strain it was putting on her too. With each contraction she held his hand tighter.*
"I can't lose our baby. I can't. Ussej...."
*She grips his hand tighter and then goes limp. Something was horribly wrong.*

*He felt her fall limp in his arms.*"No...Laili...no...don't do this...damnit!"*He sets her down softly and jumps into the pilots chair. He pulls out her datapad and transmits a landing code to the planet. He is granted clearance. The ship lands in the docking bay. He picks Laili and runs off the ship.*"Guards...she needs medical attention...NOW!"*The guards lead him towards the medical facility.*"Hold on, Laili. We're almost there."************TIME PASSES************
*He sits in the medical center waiting for news on Laili. He pulls out his datapad and begins to type an S.O.S. He sends it on the smugglers frequency for the Republic, hoping someone Laili knows would come for them. He thinks of what Invidius did to Laili. His anger creates hatred for the bucket of bolts. Mantus could almost feel his hands moving around the Admiral's neck and snapping it.*"I'll get you...I swear I will get you..."

The doctor walks out with a grim expression on his face as he walks towards Mantus.
"She's been stabilized now. She had lost alot of blood before she arrived. We've been giving her some transfusions and something to try to stop the contractions. The baby was in stress, but it looks like you got her here in time. We're still monitoring her closely."

*He pressed his lips together and looked down. He hated dealing with family members on issues like this.*
"It's hard to say. I do think the best thing from her at this point is bed rest. The child has already passed the first trimester. It's the second where she might have some problems. If she can make it through the second trimester completely, it will be downhill from there. Yet, if complications start in that time and she goes into labor again, there may be more complications. It all depends on how far along the child has developed. Medicine can do only so much."
*He looks up at Mantus.*
"I know this isn't the news you were hoping to hear. We're doing all we can here for her."

*Mantus walks over to the glass window separating him from Laili and presses his arm upon it. Now, all he could do is wait for her to awaken.*

*She opens her eyes and looks around the room. Her eyes look at all of the lines going into her and the fetus monitor they had around her belly. It was the first time she had seen the image of her child as the ultrasound showed him/her moving around inside. It brought tears to her eyes. The child was ok then.*

*Mantus ignores a warning of the doctor telling him not to enter. He goes and takes Laili's hand and kisses her softly on the forehead. He sees her crying at the monitor and then looks to see the ultrasound of the baby.*
"Can you believe that..."

*She turns to face Mantus smiling at him and nods her head as she turns back around to look at the child.*
A nurse walks in and smiles at the happy couple before moving to the other side and pulling out a stethoscope to listen to her stomach. She pulls the stethoscope off of her ears and marks something down on the paperwork.
"He's been through alot but he's hanging on strong. You two have a fighter on your hands. Are you doing okay, sweetie? Need anything?"
"He? You said 'he'. A boy?"
The nurse nodded her head and points to the ultrasound monitor.
"It's faint but it's there. It's still early. Technology has advanced to show us some things a little earlier. Congrats."
She sees Mantus looking and laughs. "Don't worry. He's still developing." She chuckles lightly hoping it would aleviate any concerns he had about size for his son."

*The Nightblade rocketed through the Telos atmosphere, its cloaking device activated so as not to draw any unwanted attention, he brings the ship down in a clearing near the location of the previously recieved S.O.S transmission, he hopped out, made sure everything was in order and began walking at a quicked pace towards the location.
Not long after his trek had begun the ever so appearent call of the darkside echoed powerfully through the force. Damn, i was late... He changes his direction and heads for the aura in which he sensed.*

"A boy...this is one of the most happiest moments of my life. I can't be -"
*He is cut off by a familiar pressence. He can't put his finger on it, but he knew that someone from the past was nearby. He kissed Laili on the forehead.*
"I'll be right back..."
*He heads out of the room and starts looking around for...well...nothing really. Just anything that could let him know what this pressence was.*
