Darius: the jedi did. first is was real lame, it worked by freezing a blaster bolt, and had to use battery packs, it really sucked. this was way before the great hyperspace war. than sometime shortly before the great hyperspace war, the lightsabers we see now were made

Darius: The force has been around for a while, but the first to acctually use it were the rakata. this is a really long time before the movies (i think about 10,000,000 years, but dont take that exact date). this is discussed in KOTOR 1. than fast forward a logn time to around 35,000-28,000, and the Kashi Mer (spelling?) used it. than there were small groups including what some theorize to be yoda's species, who practiced the force. than came the jedi.

What exactly does the title Darth stand for? I just figured it meant Dark Lord of the Sith. I read an inetrview or something that said Darth meant "Dark Father" when it was first created 20+ years ago.

It's confusing. Or maybe they just changed it to fit the new movies.

Jetzt: Darth was just Anakin's changed name until EP1 when more "Darth"s came along. I dont think anyone really knows at the moment... maybe a good bit of EU will be released about Bane and the way he changed the sith.

Jetzt: It depends really... Depends on when he dies, middle aged or old. I would probably go with Jacen, although if Luke dies youngish Jacen wont be experienced enough to lead the council.
