One of the greatest bands out there, and now my favourite after buying both Darkside of the Moon and The Wall.
But is it Roger Waters or David (forget his last name) who was crazy?
And Shine On You Crazy Diamond was dedicated to a certain band member, who was it?

Shine on you Crazy Diamond was written in honor of original lead singer Sid Barrett (who went crazy from too much LSD). David Gilmore and Roger Waters kept the band going and then they broke up because they hated each other. When Roger Waters left, Gilmore kept the rest of the band together and kept the name.

they definitely shouldn't have broken up. I forget why Waters and Gilmore started hating each other, but when they recorded a Greatest Hits CD, they wouldn't even be in the same room as each other, so their respective managers had to serve as go-betweens. But it was nice to see them back together for Live 8...
